The City Clerk's office is responsible for the City's record keeping functions, which include, but are not limited to: serving as clerical support staff for the Mayor and City Council and the various boards and commissions; monitoring compliance with the Wisconsin Open Meetings and Open Records laws by all sub-units of government; administering the election process, business licensing, property status verification and insurance coverage's; and implementing State law and Municipal Code requirements. In addition, the Clerk administers the office and is responsible for:

Council Agendas
Serve as Secretary to City Council
Attend Meetings of Council and Keep Full Record of its Proceedings
Assume Care and Custody of Corporate Seal and all Papers and Records of the City
Supervise Maintenance of Ordinance Book Serve as the Legal Custodian for the Records of the City Coordinate Legal Publications
Supervise Issuance and Recording of Licenses and Permits
Administer Oaths and Affirmations
Supervise Election Activities
Conduct Board of Review
Conduct Board of Canvass
Serve as Personnel Director
​Liaison to Public Purchase all City Insurance
