Bayfield Playgrounds Renovation Updates
September 2022
The Bayfield Playgrounds Subcommittee has met their fundraising goal of $45,000 to purchase new playground equipment for Cooper Hill Park! The second weekend of November, the committee plans to remove some of the existing playground structures and the fencing alongside Manypenny Ave to prepare the site - this will close the park for community use through the winter season. New equipment is scheduled to be installed in the spring as soon as the ground is thawed and ready.
The images below are of the new equipment that has been ordered from Lee Recreation. This equipment was chosen over other submitted bids due to its balance of low cost and variety of play features as well as its alignment with nature or nautical themes. Please keep in mind the existing sandbox and swings will remain at Cooper Hill Park.
