Burning Advisory: Campfires With Caution
Due to elevated wildfire risk, we would like to remind you of our campground rules and basic safety guidelines for outdoor burning.
  1. Fires are only allowed in the fire rings that are provided.
  2. Campfires can not be left unattended.
  3. Make sure your fire is fully put out before going to bed or leaving your campsite. If there are still coals or embers left, your fire can still reignite and spread!
Thank you for doing your part to keep our region safe. Posted May 22, 2026.
Work in the Lower Big Ravine
Crews have recently been felling trees and removing brush in the Big Ravine near the Washington Avenue trailhead. The tree removal is focused on the area around the Iron Bridge after an engineer’s inspection highly recommended they be cleared to maintain the ongoing safety of the structure. Brush is also being cleared to aid the stream flow during large rainfall events. Thank you for your patience as we work to steward this special place and make the lower Big Ravine more resilient.
